Reviews and Ratings
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were very large and perfectly adequate for our 4-night stay, reasonably quiet but with some minor noise disturbances. The service had its ups and downs, with some staff members being rude while others were very helpful and welcoming. The location was excellent for walks and hikes, near the center of Valkenburg but a bit crowded in the bar area. The dining options were varied and tasty, and the facilities were decent overall.
The hotel had a mixture of positive and negative aspects. While the rooms were spacious and included nice amenities like a Jacuzzi bath, air conditioning, and tea/coffee facilities, the storage for luggage was a bit lacking. The cleanliness was good, but the size of the bathtub was small. The service was friendly and helpful, particularly during peak times like arrival and departure, yet there was an additional cost for a kids cot. The location was excellent, being centrally located in Valkenburg but lacking in parking spaces and EV charging facilities. The dining experience offered a variety of choices but could feel congested. Overall, it had a great location with some room for improvement in service and dining.
The hotel is perfectly situated in downtown Valkenburg, making it a great base to explore the town. The rooms, though in need of updating, offer a decent size overlooking the castle ruins. The service is exceptionally friendly and accommodating, despite some minor hiccups. The dining options could use some refreshing, but the buffet style breakfast is varied and satisfying. Overall, a pleasant stay with a few areas that could be improved.
